Cybersecurity Club

at La Cañada High School

What do we do?

We're a group of students who work in coordination with the District Tech Department to keep LCUSD's students and staff members safe from threats to our IT security. In an age where public institutions like LCHS are increasingly becoming the victims of targeted cyber attacks, it's up to us to stay ahead of the curve and keep LCUSD secure.

Projects
Aspys

Aspys is a browser extension that helps to protect organizations from email and website phishing attempts. Aspys adds additional email controls for reporting phishing emails and verifying incoming emails against an organization-wide blacklist and whitelist.

phishy

The phishy project is comprised of a series of mockup phishing emails periodically sent out to assess how the staff of LCUSD would respond to real-world phishing attacks. Information gathered from staff responses gives us a better picture of the current state of LC teachers' phishing preparedness and allows us to personalize staff training.
